And among them, there is such a person, known as the "number one tiger general" of Siye, he is General Liu Zhen.
General Liu Zhen was born into an ordinary peasant family, and his hometown was not spared the smoke of war in that turbulent era. When he was a teenager, Liu Zhen was determined to devote himself to the revolution and contribute his strength to the independence of the country and the liberation of the people. At the age of fifteen, he resolutely joined the revolution and began his career as a horseman.
In the crucible of the revolution, General Liu Zhen grew up rapidly. With his extraordinary courage and outstanding command ability, he was promoted to the rank of commander of the Youth League Committee in just four years, which was extremely rare at that time. And behind this, he fought to the death with the enemy again and again on the battlefield, in exchange for blood and sweat.
General Liu Zhen is not only brave and good at fighting, but also a military strategist who is good at thinking. After each battle, he would carefully review it, sum up the lessons learned, and constantly improve his tactics. During the Battle of Luotian, he bluntly pointed out the deficiencies of the commander Xu Haijun in command, such as poor organization and untimely fire support. After hearing this, Xu Haijun not only did not get angry, but praised Liu Zhen's outspokenness and profound insights, regarded him as a rare military talent, and promoted him by two and a half levels.
During the War of Liberation, General Liu Zhen made many miraculous achievements in the Northeast Democratic Alliance. He participated in major battles such as the Liaoshen Campaign, the Pingjin Campaign, and the River Crossing Campaign, and made great achievements for the liberation of the whole of China. The troops he led were known as the "Northeast Tiger Army", and he himself was also known as the "number one tiger general" of Siye because of his brave and resolute style and outstanding command skills.
In 1951, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea broke out, and General Liu Zhen was appointed commander of the Volunteer Air Force. In the face of the well-equipped US Air Force, he was not afraid and personally commanded the Air Force to engage in a fierce battle with the enemy. In the face of backward weapons, he relied on superb tactics and the heroic struggle of the air force officers and men to inflict heavy losses on the US air force units and achieved remarkable results. This victory not only shocked the US military, but also accumulated valuable experience for the development of the mainland's air force units in actual combat.
With the end of the war, General Liu Zhen's military career also reached a new peak. During this military period, he successively held a number of important positions, including the commander of the 344th Brigade of the 2nd Column of our army, the commander of the 4th Brigade of the 4th Column, the commander of the 10th Brigade of the 4th Division of the New Fourth Army, the commander of the 10th Brigade of the 3rd Division and the commander of the Huai Naval Region, and the deputy commander of the 3rd Division.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Zhen continued to serve as a senior general, and it was not until 1980 that he served as vice president of the Academy of Military Sciences, devoting himself to military theory research and personnel training. He was knowledgeable and experienced, and made important contributions to the development of the Academy of Military Sciences. After that, he was also elected as a member of the Central Committee and became a vice-national cadre, continuing to contribute his wisdom and strength to the prosperity and stability of the country.
