At 19:30 on April 6, 2024, the 32nd round of the 2023-2024 Premier League season will start a key battle, and Manchester City will go to play away against Crystal Palace. Shortly after the start of the first half, City made a mistake up front and Mateta scored with a solo effort. In the 3rd minute, Manchester City's forward pass was broken, Hughes went straight, Mateta fired a low shot into the far corner, the ball hit the inside of the post and bounced into the net, Crystal Palace 1-0.
In the 6th minute, De Bruyne crossed from the right and Gvardiol headed high. In the 9th minute, Lewis went through and Alvarez's shot from a tight angle was blocked by the goalkeeper with his foot.
A minute later, De Bruyne's cross was cleared and Rodri fell to the ground and his shot was saved by the goalkeeper. In the 13th minute, Grealish broke down the left flank and passed the ball, De Bruyne dodged the angle and blasted the ball into the theoretical absolute corner, Manchester City 1-1.
In the 18th minute, Crystal Palace crossed, Moreno hit the ball not far away, and Jordan Ayew followed up with a volley high. In the 19th minute, De Bruyne went straight and Haaland's one-handed shot was blocked by the goalkeeper with his foot.
In the 33rd minute, Stones passed the ball and Alvarez shot straight wide. In the 37th minute, Rodri's dribbling at the back was broken, Ayew made a steal and shot, and the ball hit the goal bar and popped up.
In the 39th minute, Dias passed the ball and Lewis's shot from inside the box was saved by the goalkeeper. The first half ended, Manchester City 1-1 Crystal Palace.
In the 46th minute, Mateta shot into the near corner of the penalty area, and the ball was deflected wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Grealish crossed from the left, the Crystal Palace defender was not far away, and Lewis's shot from inside the box was refracted into the net, Manchester City 2-1.
In the 53rd minute, Tintin's header was crossed, Haaland passed back, and Alvarez's shot was blocked by a defender. Two minutes later, De Bruyne whipped in a corner and Grealish fired over the crossbar from near the top of the box.
In the 60th minute, Grealish passed the ball and Tintin shot straight wide. In the 66th minute, Grealish cut through and De Bruyne turned to send the ball to goal, and Haaland rushed to score to make it 3-1.
In the 70th minute, Grealish broke through the inverted triangle pass on the left, Rodri made the ball, and De Bruyne scored with a left-footed volley, Manchester City 4-1.
In the 80th minute, Akanji was cut off at the back, Olise passed the ball, and after Edward's shot in the small box was blocked by Dias, Stones cleared in front of the goal. A minute later, Schlupp fired a long-range shot from outside the box and Moreno confiscated the ball.
In the 85th minute, Schlupp crossed from the left, and Edward grabbed a shot in front of the goal to score, Crystal Palace 2-4.
In the 90th minute, Ahmeda dodged the angle on the left and fired a shot, but Moreno confiscated the ball. On the countdown, Grealish swept past a defender and fired wide of the goal.
At full-time, Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 4-2 away, temporarily leveling Liverpool at the top of the table with one game in hand, and sitting second on goal difference.
