Wutonghe Village is located in the lower reaches of the Songhua River, surrounded by water on three sides, with fertile land and rich resources. This is the base of the Sixth Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, and the Laozhi Mountain in the north is the secret base of the Anti-Japanese Allied Army to train the army, and it is an important place for the Anti-Japanese Allied Army.

In 1932, the Japanese invaders occupied Heligang and sent heavy troops to garrison the town. In order to cope with the Japanese invaders' sweep of the villagers and cover the comrades for secret struggle, Kim Sung-gang led his comrades to dig many tunnels along the foot of the mountain.
When the Japanese invaders went to Heligang to sweep the village, all the members of the group, including the young women and young children of the village, hid in the tunnels. Everyone entering the village had to check the code, and if no Japanese invaders entered the village, Jin Chenggang would hang a white shirt on the pyre.
If the Japanese invaded the village, there would be no white shirts hanging on the pyre, and everyone would continue to hide in the pit and not come out until the Japanese had withdrawn. Kim Sung-gang's method was very effective, and the Japanese army came to sweep more than a dozen times.

Li Yuanzhen's courtship was frustrated, and the pride in his heart was completely extinguished, and he turned from sadness to anger and decided to take revenge on Kim Sung-gang's mother and daughter. Li Yuanzhen quietly defected to the Japanese army and told the Japanese military police captain Ozaki about the situation in Heligang Village, and Ozaki immediately formulated a vicious plan.

When it was completely dark, comrades such as Bae Jiyun and Choi Gyufu, the heads of the Yuwon County Mutual Masonic Association, also came, and they were planning to form a guerrilla unit at Kim Sung-gang's house. In the middle of the night, just as the meeting was about to end, gunshots suddenly rang out in the village.
It turned out that the Japanese invaders sent heavy troops to surround the village and searched from house to house, and Jin Chenggang, Pei Zhiyun and others did not have time to dodge, so they were taken to the gendarmerie in the crowd. More than 300 people were arrested that day, and they were taken by the Japanese soldiers to the large playground of the gendarmerie, around which several heavy machine guns were erected.

Ozaki pulled out his sabre and shouted at the people below: "Whoever is an anti-Japanese element, stand up for it! Otherwise, they will all die!" No one on the playground spoke, and no one was willing to reply.
Ozaki said to a man who looked like a thin monkey wearing a Japanese military cap next to him: "Yours, go and find out all the anti-Japanese elements, my great reward!" The "thin monkey" got the master's order and immediately rushed into the crowd with the Japanese soldiers. This "thin monkey" is none other than the traitor Li Yuanzhen.

However, after more than 10 days of interrogation, the comrades became more and more tenacious. Annoyed and angry, Ozaki ordered them all to be executed.
