Recently, there have been two "rare" situations in the operation of the Continental Army planes circling Taiwan: First, when Ma Ying-jeou set off for a visit to the mainland, the Continental Army planes rarely did not circumnavigate Taiwan; second, on 3 April, three military planes circled Taiwan, but they rarely did not cross the "center line of the Taiwan Strait." In this regard, Taiwan's retired major general Li Zhengjie bluntly said that it was because of Ma Ying-jeou's visit to the mainland that the mainland showed goodwill.
However, the PLA military planes did not cross the "center line of the strait" on the 3rd, and Zhang Yanting, deputy commander of the front air force, speculated that it should be related to the earthquake that occurred in Taiwan on the same day, and the mainland considered that the Taiwan side might be busy with disaster relief, and the troops were also being mobilized. At this time, the people on the island will see if you have compassion for others. However, Lu Lishi, the former captain of the navy, believes that the mainland will not be stopped because of the earthquake in Taiwan, because they will have to do routine drills. This is because the Taiwan military will also send military planes and warships to patrol.
On the fourth day of Ma Ying-jeou's visit to the mainland, he visited the headquarters of Xi'an LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., during which Zhong Baoshen, chairman of LONGi, introduced the overall optoelectronic development of the mainland to Ma. When Zhong Baoshen introduced the solar panel style, he asked Ma Ying-jeou which one would you like? Ma Ying-jeou replied, "I will come to you when the time comes," which drew a burst of laughter from the audience. Zhong Baoshenhui told Ma Ying-jeou that Xinjiang and the Gobi desert have 2.6 million square kilometers of land, and as long as 40,000 square kilometers are used to generate electricity, they can be used by the whole country. Ma Ying-jeou joked, "Then you will definitely earn enough in the future!" and the scene erupted in laughter again.
According to Hong Kong media reports, Ma Ying-jeou expressed his thoughts to the media after attending the Yellow Emperor's public memorial ceremony on the 4th: "No matter what party affiliation, we all worship the Yellow Emperor as the common ancestor of the descendants of the Chinese nation." This sentence pierced the heart of the DPP's promotion of the "de-Sinoization" movement in Taiwan over the past few years. Ma Ying-jeou stressed that the two sides of the strait have the same root and the same origin, and even mentioned that prudence in pursuing the long term is not only the core value of Chinese culture, but also a part of the virtues of the Taiwan people.
Over the years, Taiwan has been promoted by the Democratic Progressive Party's "de-Sinicization", although it has had some results. However, the entire society in Taiwan still speaks Chinese and writes Chinese characters, and lives traditional Chinese festivals and customs, just as the 4th coincides with the Qingming Festival, and the tomb sweeping culture is the representative of Chinese culture. Ma Ying-jeou's remarks just punctured the illusion of the DPP's "de-Sinoization" and vigorously called on Taiwan society to return to the right path of Chinese culture and tradition. All of these have stabbed the DPP's sore heart.
In this regard, Taiwan media pointed out that the significance of Ma Ying-jeou's visit is to declare to the outside world that Taiwan society still recognizes that the two sides of the strait are one family and the public opinion of Chinese, so as to ensure that the mainland can still maintain cross-strait exchanges under the premise that 'Chinese do not fight Chinese' and that 'both sides of the strait are one family,' and avoid direct confrontation. The memorial text of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum ceremony mentions "the reunification of the two sides of the strait and the inevitability of history," which shows that the mainland emphasizes "final reunification" rather than "urgent reunification" and has no intention of changing the line of peaceful reunification.
