In order to strengthen the echelon construction of the national table tennis youth team and further cultivate reserve talents, the Chinese Table Tennis Association held this exchange selection competition from March 26 to April 4. The selection competition covers a wide range of players, the best in the national youth table tennis competition, and some school-age athletes of the national youth team of table tennis are participating.
Wang Xiaonan is 19 years old this year, trained at the age of 6 at the Xiangyang New Hope Table Tennis Club, went to Beijing at the age of 11 to study with world champion Wu Na, and entered the Hubei provincial team in 2020.
In 2022, at the National Table Tennis Championships, she and her teammates worked together to win the fifth place in the women's team for the Hubei Provincial Team. As the main player, she successfully attracted the attention of the national team coach with an excellent record of "playing five games and winning all five games", and was selected for the training team. Last year, he represented the mainland in the World Table Tennis Professional League (WTT) feeder series.
