Make tourists' "first sight" more "eye-catching"
In the past, at the intersection of Taiyuan Road and Anshun South Road in Licang District, there was a green dead end, which was overgrown with weeds all year round. Located on the east side of the railway, it is the only way to enter the green, when tourists pass by, when the eyes drift out of the window, the "first sight" plays a great role, and a beautiful environment along the line will leave a good first impression on tourists.
A few days ago, Qingdao Fruit and Horticulture General Farm received a request for help from local units, hoping to combine Qingdao's "Internet + National Voluntary Tree Planting" "I have land, I come to green" activity to green and beautify this location. To this end, the city's fruit tree horticulture field organized technical personnel, conducted a detailed field inspection, and made a design plan according to local conditions.
After formulating the design plan, next, the city fruit tree horticulture field is in full swing to organize personnel to clean up the garbage and weeds in the green dead corners, and tidy up the green space. After the clean-up, the staff brought in the planting soil and turned the place into a flat field just for planting trees.
More than 40 people built a landscape garden
At 8:30 a.m. on March 28, the voluntary tree planting activity officially kicked off. About 40 volunteers from Qingdao Fruit and Horticulture Farm and Qingdao Passenger Depot of China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. gathered here, and everyone picked up shovels, buckets and other tools to dig pits, plant, backfill and water...... The scene was in full swing.
Combined with the actual situation of the site, the design selected the North American red elm with developed root system, fast growth, long green period and high survival rate as the street tree, interspersed with the planting of red leaf heather balls in the middle, and formed a patchwork and layered landscape belt through the reasonable combination of trees and shrubs, which has the functions of greening and beautification. A total of 60 North American red elm plants and 40 red leaf heather balls were planted.
"Planting trees and greening the fertile soil, beautifying the environment and sending true feelings", after the event, the railway passenger section presented a pennant to the fruit tree gardening field to express gratitude.

In recent years, Qingdao's "Internet + National Voluntary Tree Planting" has launched the "You Have Land - I Come Green" to build vacant land and share green activities, which collects idle vacant land for the whole society, integrates resources for greening, and builds a platform for the whole people to build and share greening, so that citizens can widely participate in the ranks of voluntary tree planting.
Units and citizens with greening intentions can apply throughout the year. Applicants only need to pay attention to the WeChat public account of "Qingdao Voluntary Tree Planting" and click on the "Voluntary Participation - Green Sharing" column at the bottom of the menu bar to sign up. The declarant must be the ownership owner of the plot or the entrusted manager. During the registration process, the applicant should leave his name and contact information, the location of the plot, and provide at least 3 photos of the plot from different angles. The declarant will then be contacted by the staff to conduct an on-site inspection.
