The water quality improvement project of Meicun Water Purification Plant was included in the top ten livelihood projects of the municipal government in 2024. The project adopts ozone bio-activated carbon advanced treatment technology to upgrade the original water treatment process, which will greatly improve the water supply quality and lay a solid foundation for the transformation of water supply quality from qualified water to high-quality water. According to the needs of the project construction, in order to avoid the adverse impact on the peak water consumption period in summer to the greatest extent, after repeated arguments by experts, it is planned to carry out the construction of switching and connecting the old and new water supply pipelines in the water plant in advance on April 8. The construction requires the suspension of the operation of a raw water pipeline, and there will still be a water supply gap of about 10,000 cubic meters within the service area of the municipal water company, provided that the water supply is guaranteed in a variety of ways. 1. Kuiwen District and Economic Development Zone are expected to have underpressure or no water on the 4th floor and above.
2. The high-tech zone (north of Jiankang Street and west of Wei'an Road) is expected to have underpressure or no water on the 4th floor and above.
3. The area east of Xiangyang Road in Weicheng District is expected to have underpressure or no water on the 5th floor and above.
4. The secondary pressurized water supply users in the urban area are basically not affected.

Users in relevant areas are requested to inform each other to store water in advance to avoid centralized water storage during the period of near underpressure water supply, resulting in large fluctuations in the pressure of the water supply network and affecting the normal water use of production and life; considering factors such as changes in water consumption and pipeline layout, users on the upper floors of multi-storey residences near the underpressure water supply area should also store an appropriate amount of water in advance in case of emergency; check the water facilities at home and turn off the faucet to avoid unnecessary losses.
