The new project of comprehensive public transportation hub station of Hangtou East Station of Rail Transit Line 16 is located in the area around Hangtou Station of Line 16 in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with Hangtou East Station and S3 Elevated Road of Rail Transit Line 16 in the east, Heli East Road in the north, Xiasha New Street in the south, and Hangyan Road in the west.

The total land area of the project is about 12,301.4 square meters, and the total construction area is about 9,525.07 square meters, of which 1,988.54 square meters are above ground and 7,536.53 square meters are underground. The main construction content includes management rooms, on-site passages, P+R parking lots, waiting corridors, non-motor vehicle parking areas, etc. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.

The general plan of the project is divided into two parts: above-ground and underground, with the taxi operation station on the north side and the bus hub station in the middle, the non-motor vehicle parking is scattered on the north and south sides, and the underground is the motor vehicle parking. According to the detailed planning of the area around Hangtou East Station of Line 16, 6 bus lines are planned and designed, and buses enter and exit from the right along the road.
After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the transportation network and municipal infrastructure in the Hangtou area, and improve the environment of the surrounding areas.
