The accelerated integration of the new generation of information technology and manufacturing has become the trend of the development of the global advanced manufacturing industry. As far as the iron and steel industry is concerned, it is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading, and the connotation of metallurgical construction has also shifted from the traditional large-scale repeated construction to the high-quality development track with the theme of green and intelligence.
As an engineering and technology enterprise with more than 60 years of experience in the steel industry, CCID closely follows the development trend of the steel industry in the new era and the transformation and upgrading needs of steel enterprise customers, accelerates the deep integration of intelligent manufacturing and traditional manufacturing, and helps the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry and high-quality development.
At the same time, CCID also realized that the development of intelligent manufacturing should cultivate an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem with an open mind and establish a new business model and industry ecology. In October 2018, CCID signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei, making Huawei a major partner for ICT solutions in the field of public cloud and cloud infrastructure construction.
In May 2019, CCID signed a deepening strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei to carry out comprehensive cooperation in cloud computing, Internet of Things, 5G, big data, AI, chips, industrial Internet and other fields, promote the application of new technologies in the field of intelligent steel manufacturing and smart cities, and jointly released the "Intelligent Manufacturing Cloud for Iron and Steel Industry" solution, which provides a solid foundation for CCID to implement intelligent manufacturing services.
Create a benchmark project for intelligent manufacturing
As early as more than 10 years ago, CCID began to lay out intelligent and big data business, took the lead in realizing comprehensive informatization in the engineering construction industry, and established CCID Chongqing Information Technology Co., Ltd. in 2010, closely combining its own informatization experience with industrial knowledge system to serve the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry.
After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China held in 2017 put forward the requirement of "promoting the deep integration of the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence with the real economy", CCID further strengthened its confidence and determination to lead the high-quality development of the steel industry with big data and intelligence. In 2018, CCID upgraded intelligence and informatization from the collaborative level to the strategic level, and formed a series of intelligent manufacturing solutions as a strategic business segment to help iron and steel enterprises transform their production management methods and greatly improve production efficiency.
For example, CCID takes intelligent control technology as the core of the strategic transformation of iron and steel enterprises, creates an intelligent raw material yard system, and realizes the automation, intelligence and management and control integration of raw material yard production. The system has been successfully put into use in China Baowu Zhanjiang Iron and Steel, which has realized accurate and real-time management of the raw material yard and greatly improved the quality of operations. The strategic transformation of 1 million square meters of raw material yard iron and steel enterprises only requires remote monitoring by 2 operators, which increases labor productivity by 80%, raw material yard utilization rate by 20%, and inventory efficiency by 95%. At present, CCID's intelligent raw material yard technology has gone out of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel, and is implementing a number of intelligent material yard projects such as Wuhan Iron and Steel, Laishan Iron and Steel, Mashan Iron and Steel, and Baotou Steel, and is moving towards the international leading level.
CCID will also carry out centralized and large-scale application of technologies such as the Internet of Things, mobile Internet, big data, and cloud computing in the iron and steel industry, and upgrade the traditional centralized control center of local processes to the integrated center of operation, control and management in the large railway area, realizing the integration of production processes, process optimization, intrinsic safety improvement and organizational management reform.
With the help of CCID, Shaogang has built a smart centralized control center, realized the data integration of 8 major processes and 30 systems in front of the railway, and intelligently analyzed and processed more than 300,000 points of data collected on site based on the big data center, realizing intelligent monitoring, intelligent early warning and intelligent optimization decision-making.
The intelligent centralized control center of Wuhan Iron and Steel Zone built by CCID
It is understood that after the smart centralized control center was launched, more than 400 operators at the Shaogang production site were evacuated from high-risk areas, the number of operation areas was reduced by 60%, the labor efficiency was increased by 40%, the cost per ton of iron was reduced by 25 yuan, and the average daily output was increased by 500 tons. Five months after the smart centralized control center was put into operation, Shaogang's actual production indicators such as cost and output have steadily improved, setting a benchmark project in the field of intelligent steel manufacturing in China.
"Only by deeply integrating intelligence, big data and the iron and steel industry, and promoting the production, organizational and management changes of iron and steel enterprises, can we truly liberate people from dangerous, repetitive and low-end labor, fundamentally improve production efficiency, and ensure intrinsic safety. Daniel Zhang, deputy general manager of CCID Group, said.
Build a smart steel factory
With the continuous increase of downward pressure on the economy and the deepening of the exploration of intelligent factory construction in the iron and steel industry, how to continuously enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and seize the commanding heights of future economic and technological development has become a common challenge for iron and steel enterprises.
On August 26, 2019, the 2019 China International Smart Industry Expo opened in Chongqing. CCID released the industrial Internet cloud platform at the meeting. Relying on CCID's decades of knowledge accumulation in the field of steel, the cloud platform integrates cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, mobile Internet, Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, etc., and provides a one-stop cloud platform for the industrial process manufacturing industry, including intelligent production control, enterprise operation and external ecological collaboration services. The resource allocation and optimization of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain have created an open and scalable intelligent application development ecology and provided intelligent manufacturing cloud-based solutions for the development of the industry.
Wang Jinsong, chairman of CCID Chongqing Information Technology Co., Ltd., pointed out that intelligent manufacturing has become an inevitable trend in the development of the manufacturing industry, but most of the intelligence of the steel industry stays at the level of traditional automation and traditional informatization, and does not fundamentally solve the bottleneck of cost and efficiency. As the core driving force of today's industrial revolution, the industrial Internet provides the foundation for the realization of intelligent manufacturing with a new industrial ecosystem.
Since 2019, CCID has continuously improved the intelligent big data application module on the industrial Internet platform, and extended the overall solution of intelligent manufacturing to the whole process and system of the steel industry, forming rich practical results.
In January 2020, two intelligent manufacturing projects of Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Control Center and Hot Rolling Control Center, which were contracted by CCID, were put into operation, which attracted wide attention in the industry. This is another innovative masterpiece and upgrade practice of CCID in the field of steel intelligent manufacturing technology after building an integrated intelligent centralized control center in Shaogang.
In view of the characteristics of continuous process, difficult rhythm control, complex process system and many uncertain factors in the production process of the control center of Wuhan Iron and Steel Zone, CCID has built a digital twin production control mode relying on the integrated intelligent management and control platform and Q-TOUCH platform products. This model integrates GIS+BIM+IOT technology to digitally model "man-machine materials", and digitally model and regularize the process and mechanism. At the same time, combined with artificial intelligence means such as precise positioning of personnel and image and voice recognition, an event-centric, grid-based scheduling, and integrated management and control mode of digital factory and physical factory has been built for production planning, energy, logistics, equipment, quality, safety, environmental protection, etc., and a digital factory in the iron area has been constructed.
The hot rolling control center of Wuhan Iron and Steel has realized the integrated control of "operation, operation and maintenance" of multiple steel rolling production lines of Wuhan Iron and Steel, and has taken the lead in realizing remote and efficient steel rolling in the industry. The hot-rolled smart "brain" provided by CCID collects up to 30,000 points of data at high speed, completes real-time monitoring, dynamic analysis, and accurate message push for production quality, equipment status, workshop environment, etc., and then supports auxiliary decision-making.
On May 25, CCID signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shandong Iron and Steel Group Yongfeng Lingang Co., Ltd. in Chongqing. The two parties will give full play to their respective advantages in steel industry manufacturing, lean management, engineering technology, research and development, market development and industrialization, and jointly build a future-oriented green and intelligent steel mill.
It is understood that in the first phase of Yongfeng Lingang project, CCID will provide top-level design and consulting, whole-process industrial Internet platform application and production control intelligent application software for Lingang Phase I smart factory. This project is the first time in the industry that the industrial Internet platform has been systematically applied in the whole process in the steel greenfield factory, and it is also a new upgraded application of the industrial Internet platform independently developed by CCID. The project will also apply the nudge cloud platform independently developed by MCID, so that workers can receive real-time data, information, processes, alarms and other content related to their posts in the nudge PC or mobile terminal, and can quickly check the post operation system, operating procedures and other content, which improves work efficiency and deals with problems in a more timely and effective manner.
"The steel customers we have contacted are very much in agreement with CCID's concept and service capabilities on intelligent manufacturing, and we will accurately meet the needs of iron and steel enterprises, systematically support the process innovation and organizational management innovation of steel mills with intelligent new technical architecture and system, and help iron and steel enterprises accelerate the transformation and upgrading to Industry 4.0, and achieve rapid progress in competitiveness in the near future. Wang Jinsong said. ("State-owned Assets Report" reporter Yuan Shimeng)
