As a mid-size SUV under Chery Fengyun's new energy product series, the Chery Fengyun T9 will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, with a WLTC pure electric range of up to 160 kilometers.
Chery Fengyun T9 has been declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and there are not too many secrets to speak of in the exterior styling. Among them, the front face of the car adopts a large-area closed design, and the contour characteristics of the front grille are shaped by decorative strips and other elements. On this basis, Chery Fengyun T9 does not adopt the common through-type headlight group design of new energy vehicles, the shape of the headlights is an inverted trapezoidal style, and the design and arrangement of the light sources in the lamp cavity are relatively simple, of which the daytime running lights are set at the top.
Chery Fengyun T9 adopts the body contour design of mainstream SUVs, and the slightly sloping roof shape makes the vehicle not look too stable, and it is also conducive to ensuring the headroom of rear passengers. In addition, the car also features design elements such as concealed door handles, continuous rear taillights, 19-inch rims and 235/55 R19 tyres. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Chery Fengyun T9 are 4795/1930/1738 (1741) mm, and the wheelbase is 2770 mm.
In terms of power, it is reported that Chery Fengyun T9 will adopt Chery Kunpeng super hybrid C-DM technology, equipped with a plug-in hybrid system based on a 1.5T engine, with a maximum engine power of 115 kilowatts and a peak torque of 220 Nm, which can be matched with single-speed DHT and three-speed DHT gearboxes. Among them, the model equipped with a single-speed DHT transmission has a maximum power of 155 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, and a pure electric range of 100 kilometers in WLTC mode, while the model with a three-speed DHT transmission is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 165 kW and a peak torque of 390 Nm, and a pure electric range of 160 km in WLTC mode, but the actual situation is subject to the final launch model.
According to the previously exposed information, Chery Fengyun T9 is expected to focus on the hybrid market in the range of 150,000-200,000 yuan, and competitors may point to models such as BYD Tang DM-i and Changan UNI-K Zhidian iDD.
