New 1.8T/2.5T/3.0T engine!

I don't know when the displacement of automobile engines has basically stabilized at 1.5T or 2.0T. According to the explanation of previous popular science books, when the displacement of each cylinder is close to 0.5L, its thermal efficiency is higher.

However, this is likely to change as technology evolves.

A few days ago, Hongqi officially released the official picture of the 2024 H9, the most concerning of which is that the new car has declared three engines with different displacements of 1.8T/2.5T/3.0T. Although in the subsequent change application, Hongqi H9 also declared a 2.0T engine, but these engines with less common displacements made us pay more attention.

The first three engines declared are all gasoline engines, except for the 1.8T using inline 4 cylinders, the other two are V6. Among them, the 1.8T engine has a maximum power of 165kW/224 horsepower, the 2.5T V6 engine has a maximum power of 223kW/303 horsepower, and the top model still uses a 3.0T engine, but the maximum power has been increased to 248kW/337 horsepower, which is a big improvement over the current 3.0T.

It can be seen that Hongqi H9's biggest shortcoming, power, will be completely solved.

Aside from the power, the new car has also improved a lot in the subtleties of design.

The new Hongqi H9 continues the overall design of the current model, but uses a new arrow feather style LED daytime running lights in the front part of the car, which has a stronger sense of technology. The dot-matrix chrome trim inside the waterfall grille is larger, and the shape of the high and low beam clusters and the lower bracket has been fine-tuned.

The side of the car has not changed much, with red flag trim on the front fenders, newly designed wheels, and a number of new styles of wheels in the future.

The lower bumper at the rear has been redesigned with a diffuser-like shape. The middle of the exhaust pipes on both sides is designed with a partition to achieve the visual effect of a total of four outlets on both sides.

The length, width and height of the new car are 5137/1904/1498mm, and the wheelbase is 3060mm, which is basically the same as the current model. As one of the few models with good sales of self-owned brand C-class sedans, the replacement of Hongqi H9 has attracted attention.

Although the powertrain is the core of this upgrade, it is still a pity that it has not been able to add PHEVs or pure electric models. It is expected that the next generational change, electrified models will follow.
