The 13th "Dalang Cup" China Women's Wear Design Competition is sponsored by China Garment Association and Shenzhen Longhua District People's Government, undertaken by Shenzhen Longhua District Key Area Construction Promotion Center, China Fashion Magazine, Shenzhen Longhua District Dalang Street Office, and co-organized by China Textile Publishing House Co., Ltd. The competition was officially launched on December 25, 2023, with the theme of "Green Wing # Oriental", which lasted 3 months of fierce competition, after the preliminary evaluation, special training camp and finals at different stages, a strong jury composed of 25 judges was fair, open and impartial assessment and review, and comprehensive evaluation was carried out according to the design creativity, theme interpretation, process technology, market potential and other aspects of the work, and finally 16 groups of contestants stood out with their comprehensive strength and won the Golden Wave Award (Gold Award), Wave Award (Silver Award), The Langhua Award (Bronze Award) and the title of "Top 10" Designer (Excellence Award) won a total of 1.125 million yuan in cash prizes.
It is precisely because of the competition's continuous increase in support for China's original design forces that it has attracted a large number of mature designers and commercial designers to participate in the competition, bringing relatively mature and complete design works. They have independent designers who create their own brands, managers of commercial brands, intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and students from special education normal colleges, basically covering the current domestic designer ecology. The 64 outfits brought by the 16 winners have their own characteristics, covering different styles such as future technology, sports fashion, urban women, etc., showing the diversity and innovation of Chinese women's wear design, as well as the talent and potential of young Chinese designers.

The designers skillfully combine Chinese opera, papermaking, porcelain, wandering gods, lacquerware and other excellent traditional Chinese culture with modern design concepts, and at the same time closely follow the theme of sustainable fashion, using novel fabrics and tailoring technologies, through environmentally friendly fabrics such as fragrant cloud yarn, silk, wool, etc., discarded easy-to-pull rings, degradable pulp, color-changing yarn, tea dyeing, plant dyeing, 3D printing and other recyclable technologies, and consumption concepts such as "one clothes to wear more", presenting a visual and creative feast on sustainable fashion.
