Earlier this month, Mercedes-Benz also announced that it would be updating its internal combustion engine, plug-in hybrid models, to take the brand into the next decade (2030). It is reported that Mercedes-Benz's total global sales in 2023 will be 2,491,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%, EBIT will be 19.7 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%, and revenue will be 153.2 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. According to Mercedes-Benz CEO Kang Linsong, plug-in hybrid vehicles will "continue to be updated" in the coming years, and although Mercedes-Benz, like most automakers, has invested heavily in electrification, consumer demand has also proved weaker than expected.

Although Mercedes-Benz's EQ series models have not achieved the expected results in the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz Global CEO Kang Linsong also said: "Even if I am not in China, I will never leave China", and announced that it will launch 15 new models in the Chinese market this year and consolidate its position in the highly competitive car market.
