Chinese painting and calligraphy
In this online auction, the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Department will present four special sessions: "Jia Hua I and II" and "Today's Ink Painting I and II", covering more than 400 masterpieces of ancient, modern and contemporary paintings. The "Jia Painting I" special exhibition opens with the same private collection of modern and contemporary Shanghai style paintings and calligraphy, and the flower and bird paintings of famous Shanghai artists such as Xie Zhiguang, Zhu Qizhan and Jiang Hanting are full of flowers and lifelike. "Jia Hua II" will feature the theme of "Siqitang Family Treasures" by Lu Guangguang's family, showing Mr. Lu Guangguang's artistic achievements in his later years through five works of family treasures with different themes. This theme leads Qi Baishi, Li Kuchan, Cui Zifan and other famous artists from Beijing and Tianjin, showing the style of freehand flower and bird painting of the modern Beijing-Tianjin School.
The two special sessions of "Ink Painting Today" exhibited a total of 217 masterpieces of contemporary ink painting with different styles. The first session, "Ink Painting Today (1)", presents a selection of 111 works, including an exclusive feature by Zhu Xinjian, a feature on Zhang Guiming's works, and representative works by contemporary ink artists such as Shi Hu, Wu Yi, Han Meilin, Huang Yongyu, etc. In addition, the calligraphy topic is carefully selected, gathering treasures from famous artists such as Qian Junkuo, Wang Mingming, Sun Xiaoyun, and Li Duo. The second session, "Ink Painting Today (II)", showcased 106 works, with "Special Topic on the Works of Lu Shen and Zhou Sicong" as the main highlight.
