After the Spring Festival, I went to Quanzhou, Fujian Province, and I named the trip "Theme Travel".
Before leaving, the family decided on the theme of the trip. I have always been attracted by Quanzhou, the "starting point of the ancient maritime Silk Road in the East", so I decided to go and see the ancient buildings there.
Mulanpi
With a clear theme, the children consulted a lot of information about it, designed the best driving route, booked hotels along the way, and prepared everything for the trip. We flew from Beijing to Fuzhou, picked up a pre-rented car at the airport, and started a themed trip.
Qingjing Temple
After retirement, although I often go out for a walk, it is very casual. Especially when traveling with a tour group, it is at the mercy of others, and the tour guide will see what he sees, and many times he always feels "not thirsty". In this themed trip, we toured around the ancient buildings of Quanzhou, visited more than 30 exquisite ancient buildings in Quanzhou and its surroundings, and had a preliminary understanding of "Song and Yuan Dynasty China looks at Quanzhou".
Hualin Temple
Located in Fuzhou City, Hualin Temple was built in the second year of Qiande in the Northern Song Dynasty (964), it is the oldest wooden building existing in the south of the Yangtze River in the mainland, and it is surprising that it has existed for thousands of years in the rainy and humid Fujian region where termites are infested.
Luoyang Bridge
Luoyang Bridge, one of the four famous bridges in ancient China, was built in the Northern Song Dynasty in the fifth year of Emperor Yu (1053), it is the earliest cross-sea beam type large stone bridge in the existing age of the mainland, it is a major contribution to the world's bridge science, is the most ingenious "oyster solid foundation method" in the history of bridge construction, which is the world's first application of biology to bridge engineering.
Ancient dwellings
Quanzhou, which is located at the intersection of agricultural civilization and maritime civilization, is also dizzying in its ancient dwellings. The red brick ancient house, without houses and carvings, has left traces of history everywhere, highlighting the connotation of southern Fujian culture.
Tai'an Fort
The theme travel made the road and reading go hand in hand, passed on too much knowledge to me, let me see the greatness of my ancestors, and deepened my understanding of life.
I love this way of traveling to expand the breadth of my life, and my life has been enriched by it.
