On March 24, at the site of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Jinan to Qihe section of the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, the box girder hoisting work on the south side of the Jinan International Medical Center overpass has begun, and nearly 100 elevated piers with a height of about 30 meters have been built on the north and south sides of the overpass, and the beams that have been poured in advance are hoisted on the pier columns to form a new bridge after the widening of the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, which is nearly 20 meters higher than the adjacent existing Beijing-Taiwan Expressway.

It is understood that the project is 23.99 kilometers long, for the two-way 12-lane highway standard construction, the design speed of 120 km / h, is the country's first "six to twelve" lane highway reconstruction and expansion project, after completion will further break the development bottleneck of Jinan's "North Span" and help regional economic development. Up to now, nearly half of the project's roadbed, bridge and culvert projects have been completed.

When the section of the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway widens passes here, the viaduct will be raised as a whole, and the bridge will cross the Shandong section of the Jizheng high-speed railway from south to north across the Xiaoqinghe Bridge, Xiaoqinghe South Road, Xiaoqinghe, South-to-North Water Diversion Trunk Canal, Xiaoqinghe North Road, Beijing-Shanghai Railway, in order to ensure the safety of railway traffic under the bridge, the viaduct is used to leave enough space for train traffic.
