2

What are the symptoms of tuberculosis?

3.24 - We work together to end the TB epidemic

The common systemic symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis include fatigue, loss of appetite, low-grade fever, night sweats, etc., the common symptoms of the respiratory system include cough and sputum production, and some patients have hemoptysis and chest pain in varying quantities.

3

How is tuberculosis transmitted?

3.24 - We work together to end the TB epidemic

Tuberculosis is mainly transmitted through the respiratory tract, and tuberculosis patients who shed the bacteria spread droplets containing tuberculosis bacteria into the air when coughing, sneezing, and talking loudly. Infection can occur when people around you inhale infected droplets. In densely populated schools, factories, welfare institutions and other places, the spread of tuberculosis and cluster disease may be caused by the untimely detection of infectious tuberculosis patients.

1

Heat or boil

Tuberculosis bacteria die immediately after boiling at 100 °C, and can be killed at 70 °C for 10 minutes and 60 °C for 1 hour. Eating utensils, sputum, etc. can be disinfected by this method.

2

Air disinfection

Rooms or offices where tuberculosis patients live can be disinfected with ultraviolet light irradiation.

3

Exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light

Tuberculosis bacteria are very sensitive to sunlight and ultraviolet rays, and some clothes, bedding, books, etc. can be disinfected with sunlight or ultraviolet light.

04

disinfectant

10% lysan aqueous solution for 1-2 hours, 20% bleach solution soaked for 2 hours, and 5% 84 disinfectant solution for 5 minutes can kill tuberculosis bacteria and can be used for sputum disinfection.

04

How can I effectively prevent tuberculosis infection?

1

Infants and young children should be vaccinated with BCG as required to improve the body's specific immunity.

2

Early detection of surrounding tuberculosis patients, close contacts should be screened for tuberculosis as soon as possible, and measures such as living in separate rooms and disinfection should be taken to prevent infection, health monitoring should be done, and pulmonary tuberculosis patients should be cared for and urged to receive full treatment.

3

Try to avoid participating in activities in poorly ventilated and crowded places to stay away from the risk of tuberculosis infection.

04

Tuberculosis patients should develop good hygiene habits, open windows for ventilation, do not spit, cough and sneeze to cover their mouths and noses, try to go out, and wear masks when going out to reduce the risk of tuberculosis transmission

05

Regular life, balanced psychology, reasonable diet, moderate exercise, improve the body's immunity.
