Located at the boundary between the Nanjing section and the Zhenyang section of the Yangtze River, the Longtan River Crossing Passage is located in the Ningzhen-Yangtong Urbanization Development Center, which is an important transportation facility for the Ningzhen-Yangtong Urbanization and serves the regional transportation links of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. It is of great significance to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration and Ningzhenyang, accelerate the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor, optimize the layout of cross-river passages, improve the expressway network, and promote the development of urbanization. The Longtan Yangtze River Bridge is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024, when it will take 6 minutes from Nanjing Longtan to Yangzhou Yizheng and half an hour to the main urban area of Yangzhou.
