As an annual update, the new car has been upgraded in terms of intelligent systems, with a new Miller cycle engine and a new intelligent all-wheel drive system (intelligent four-wheel drive system for the city version and time-sharing four-wheel drive system for the off-road version) to improve thermal efficiency and fuel economy.
During the launch period, the Tank 400 Hi4-T also launched eight hassle-free packages, including warranty, maintenance and connected services. In addition, for users whose order status has not yet entered the "Order Submitted to Factory", there is an opportunity to modify the order to the 2024 model model, which can be operated through the TANK App for the time period from 20:00 on March 22, 2024 to 24:00 on March 27, 2024, while enjoying the new policy.
IT House noted that the new car adopts a sci-fi front face design and is equipped with mecha-style exterior components, giving the vehicle a strong sense of power. The body dimensions are 4985 mm long, 1960 mm wide, 1905 mm high, and the wheelbase is 2850 mm.
The futuristic design is accentuated by the stiff lines and wide wheel arches on the sides, while the trim components and rear wing at the rear combine mechs with off-road elements.
In terms of interior, the new car has upgraded the intelligent system while maintaining the design of the existing model. The new car is equipped with the latest version of the in-vehicle system, which supports HiCar, ICCOA, and DLNA, and adds a number of new functions, such as traffic light timing, navigation team, navigation destination red line, desktop wallpaper customization, HUD off-road mode, smart ball control, gun remote control, etc. In addition, the new car also adds a four-tone voice recognition function, which can recognize the voice commands of users in the driver, co-pilot, left and right side of the rear row, with low latency, excellent audio quality and strong anti-interference ability.
In terms of power performance, the new car is equipped with Great Wall Motor's latest generation of 2.0T hybrid engine E20NB, equipped with advanced technologies such as Miller cycle, low-pressure EGR system, variable displacement oil pump, and integrated exhaust pipe in the cylinder head, with a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The new E20NB engine has a thermal efficiency increase from 38 percent to 39.2 percent compared to the previously used E20NA engine. The Tank 400 Hi4-T has a combined power of 300 kW and a combined torque of 750 Nm, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. In terms of fuel consumption, the fuel consumption of the Tank 400 Hi4-T has been reduced from 9.52 to 8.8 litres per 100 km with the new engine.
The new off-road version of the new Tank 400 Hi4-T is equipped with BorgWarner's ESOF time-sharing all-wheel drive system, which improves responsiveness by pre-loading the execution system. At the same time, the system will also identify torque according to the driver's driving behavior and real-time road condition feedback, actively intervene, and distribute torque more accurately. In off-road scenarios, the torque amplification in 4L (low-speed four-wheel drive) mode will also be increased from 2.46 times to 3.06 times in the old model, and the ability to climb hills and get out of trouble will be improved.
