Vice Mayor Zhao Bo said in his speech at the opening of the park that the Kunming Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attach great importance to the work of veterans, always regard the employment and entrepreneurship of veterans as an important political task, and actively explore the establishment of the "Kunming model" of "military, government and enterprise + university" employment and entrepreneurship of veterans. The completion and use of the military innovation park is a key step to fully implement the original mission of "benefiting the army for the army", an important part of the implementation of the "last mile" of the preferential care policies for veterans, and a winning move to help the veterans to "change their identity, change their positions, and transform their careers". The park is required to plant a good business "plane tree", attract the "phoenix bird" of military innovation, and strive to build a model benchmark for military innovation that is trustworthy to soldiers, spread out in the industry, stand in Kunming, and be known throughout the country, help military enterprises to iteratively upgrade, become bigger and stronger, help retired soldiers have the courage to pursue their dreams, realize their dreams as soon as possible, and help the high-quality development of Kunming's veterans.

At the signing ceremony of the park, a number of representatives of military enterprises, banks, law firms, investment institutions, intellectual property rights and other third-party service platforms came to the stage to sign the contract, marking the gradual formation of the innovation trend of the park's military enterprise clusters, the gradual enhancement of the competitiveness of industrial clusters, and the gradual emergence of the quality of regional economic development. Previously, since the delivery of the park in November 2023, it has organized and completed the roadshow review of 4 phases of incubation projects, with a total of 118 enterprises/teams participating and 74 passing the roadshow review, and 3 batches of site matching have been carried out, with a total of 69 enterprises/teams participating, 40 have completed site selection, and 50 enterprises/teams have settled in the office and incubated for empowerment. The incubated enterprises/teams have a total of 186 intellectual property rights, with an output value of 143 million yuan, 1,303 jobs, and 437 retired soldiers.

Subsequently, Chen Jie, Zhao Bo, Zhu Wei and Zhao Shuai jointly unveiled the "Kunming Veterans Employment and Entrepreneurship Park" and "Kunming Veterans Training (Internship) Base". From the zoning of the park to the construction of the exclusive park, Kunming Military Innovation has always been based on the employment and entrepreneurship services of retired soldiers, and the majority of retired soldiers to build a model of "military production for the army, with the army to benefit the army", absorbing the in-depth participation of military enterprises/teams in various industries, continuing to explore the specialization and value development of the park, and accelerating the formation of new momentum and new advantages to boost economic and social development.

Since 2019, the Kunming Veterans Affairs Bureau and Yunnan Tus-Military Innovation have carried out the employment and entrepreneurship service work for veterans, focusing on the multiplication of market entities, promoting the entrepreneurship of veterans to a continuous level, surveying more than 6,500 military enterprises in the city, and mining a total of 1,508 military enterprises through the four military innovation competitions, and the efficiency of "increase" has become more and more prominent; Assisted 30 incubated enterprises to successfully apply for qualifications, including 7 high-tech enterprises, 1 enterprise technology center, 1 specialized and special new "little giant" enterprise, 4 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, 14 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, 3 "specialized, special and new" small and medium-sized enterprises, and the "new" characteristics continue to be demonstrated. The advantages of organization and ideological and political work have been transformed into the competitive advantages of military enterprises in the market economy environment, and have become a strong core and fundamental guarantee for promoting the sustainable development of enterprises and shaping a good ecology of the park, and the success of the "army" is more obvious.
