GAC Group recently issued an important announcement, which clearly mentioned that after careful deliberation by the board of directors, it has unanimously agreed to transfer 100% of the equity of its Hunan Zhixiang Automobile Management Co., Ltd. (formerly GAC Mitsubishi) to GAC Aion within the group.
The announcement disclosed in detail the relevant details of the equity transfer. It is reported that the equity transfer price set by GAC Group for Zhixiang Company is determined to be 191 million yuan. In addition, GAC Aion plans to raise its own funds and inject up to 1.858 billion yuan into Zhixiang, and the total amount of funds involved in the entire transaction will exceed 2 billion yuan.
GAC Aion has high hopes for this acquisition. The company plans to further expand and increase its production capacity by integrating GAC Mitsubishi's existing plants and assets. According to the plan, GAC Aion aims to expand its mass production capacity by June 2024 and increase its basic production capacity to 600,000 units per year. This move is of great significance for GAC Aion to achieve its strategic goal of producing and selling 1 million vehicles by 2025.
