Annual inspection cycle regulations
Motor vehicles shall be subject to safety and technical inspection within the following time limits from the date of registration:
✅ Passenger vehicles shall be inspected once a year within 5 years and once every 6 months for more than 5 years.
✅ Trucks and large/medium-sized non-operating passenger vehicles shall be inspected once a year within 10 years, and once every 6 months for more than 10 years.
✅ Small/micro non-operating passenger vehicles, large cars and motorcycles shall be inspected once every 2 years within 10 years, and once a year if they are more than 10 years old.
✅ Tractors and other motor vehicles are inspected once a year.
✅ Special school buses shall be carried out every six months from the date of registration, and non-special school buses shall be inspected every six months after obtaining school bus signs.

"Exempt" vehicle range
When small/micro non-operating passenger vehicles (except vans), large cars and motorcycles with 9 seats or less need to be inspected regularly in the 2nd, 4th and 8th years after registration, they can directly apply to the traffic management department for the inspection mark and do not need to go to the inspection agency for on-line inspection.
Note: Vehicles with the following circumstances do not belong to the scope of "exempt from inspection" vehicles, and need to be inspected according to the original specified period.

Advance the annual inspection time
According to Articles 54 and 62 of the Regulations on the Registration of Motor Vehicles (Order No. 164 of the Ministry of Public Security):
The owner of the motor vehicle may apply to the vehicle administration for the inspection mark within three months before the expiration of the motor vehicle inspection.
Schools or school bus service providers shall, within one month before the expiration of the school bus inspection, apply to the traffic management department of the public security organ for the inspection mark.
