General Comments:
Dragon's Dogma 2 is a fantastic and wonderful game, but it seems to be plagued by some of the shortcomings of its predecessor. It's a retelling and re-enactment of all the great ideas from 2012's unique classic game, including an awesome dynamic world and the best combat in its class.
The game's combat integrates a subtle but stunningly complex physics system. On the other hand, its overly cumbersome ally AI, clumsy climbing, undulating frame rates, and at the worst of times the "feature" that the perspective lens will "get used to" getting out of control are all things I don't want to see again.
Even so, if you can be patient with all its strange problems and embrace its laissez-faire open world and mission design, it's still a well-worth playing action RPG that is unbeatable in its genre.
