In the car market in March, the most eye-catching wave of price reductions came: the frigate 07 Glory Edition under BYD Ocean Network was officially launched. The newly launched Corvette 07 Glory Edition has a total of 5 models, with a price range of 179,800-259,800 yuan, which is 1.3-30,000 yuan lower than the 2023 model. The new Elite model attracts attention at a price of 179,800 yuan, while other models have been adjusted in terms of equipment and are available at a more competitive price.

The Corvette 07 Glory Edition model launched this time is another Glory Edition model after the Seagull, Dolphin, Seal, Destroyer 05, Song PLUS, and e2. Minor tweaks have been made to the original model, with the addition of a shell white colour scheme to the interior and the new DiLink 100 in-vehicle system. Since its launch in December 2022, a total of 66,262 units have been sold, competing with models such as the Changan UNI-K iDD and Macchiato DHT-PHEV.

In fact, BYD since February 19th, it has launched a variety of "Glory Edition" models, covering sedans from A0 to C-class and a variety of SUV models, although consumers are a little stupid and can't tell the difference, but only need to remember that their common features are that the price is more affordable, and even the price threshold is lowered to less than 100,000. Although BYD's new energy vehicle sales declined in the first two months of this year (BYD's new energy vehicle sales in February 2024 were 122,300 units, down 36.8% year-on-year; as of the end of February, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles in the first two months of this year were 332,800 units, down 6.1% year-on-year). But the rebound in sales in March suggests that the price reduction strategy may be working.

At the same time, Hyundai Motor has also joined the ranks of price reductions and launched discounts for its five models. Models such as the Elantra, ix35 Musa, Tucson L, Shengda Traveler and Kusitu all have different price reductions, with the highest reduction reaching 36,800 yuan. These adjustments will undoubtedly increase Hyundai's competitiveness in the market.

Driven by BYD's comprehensive price cuts, other domestic car companies such as Geely have also adjusted their price strategies, which can be met, although this is just the beginning of spring, the fierce price war in the car market may heat up again.
