On February 19, BYD's compact sedan destroyer 05 Honor Edition and Qin PLUS Honor Edition were launched.

Among them, the Destroyer 05 Honor Edition will be available in 6 configurations with prices ranging from 79,800 to 128,800 yuan, the Qin PLUS Honor Edition DM-i model will be available in 5 configurations with a price range of 79,800-125,800 yuan, and the EV version will be available in 5 configurations with a price range of 109,800 to 139,800 yuan. At the same time, BYD has also launched multiple car purchase discounts, further reducing the car purchase cost of target users.

Let's talk about power first, the destroyer 05 Glory Edition and Qin PLUS Glory Edition DM-i models are equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5L engine + permanent magnet synchronous drive motor, of which the maximum power of the engine is 81kW, and the motor is available in two versions: 132kW and 145kW, and matched with DM-i special blade battery pack, with a comprehensive pure electric mileage of 55km and 120km under NEDC working conditions.

On the other hand, the Qin PLUS Honor EV model is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with a maximum output of 100kW and a peak torque of 180Nm, and is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 48kWh and 57.6kWh depending on the configuration, with a range of 420km and 510km, respectively.

In terms of appearance, both new cars follow the family-style design language, the destroyer 05 glory version adopts a polygonal large-size grille, with a new BYD LOGO, a new ink blue body color, length, width and height are 4780mm, 1837mm, 1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2718mm.

The most obvious difference between the DM-i model and the EV model is the front grille design, with the DM-i model using a larger dragon-spout front grille, while the EV model has a closed format common to pure electric models. Moreover, the interior of the new car also adds dragon armor elements in many places, which is more in line with the aesthetics of current domestic users.

In terms of interior configuration, it has always been BYD's strong point, and the new car is equipped with a one-button start, automatic air conditioning, DiLink intelligent network system, full-scene digital key and other comfortable technology configurations, and the Qin PLUS Glory Edition has also upgraded the intelligent power-on and power-on functions.

BYD's sales performance in 2023 is obvious to all, and it is reported that BYD has set a sales target of 4.5 million to 5 million units in 2024, but it has not yet been officially confirmed.
