Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was established in 1981 by its predecessor, the Nanyang Institute of Technology (NTI), which merged with the National Institute of Education in 1991 to form Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
In 1996, the alumni roster of the former Nanyang University was transferred to Nanyang Technological University.
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) became an autonomous university in 2006 and has grown to become one of the two largest public universities in Singapore and a research-intensive university in Singapore. NTU has 33,000 undergraduate and graduate students in engineering, business, science, humanities, arts, social sciences, education, and medicine.
Senior Visiting Scholar of Nanyang Technological University: Through exchanges, lectures and collaborations, students will deepen their understanding of the questions of scholars from the visiting countries or regions, expand academic exchanges, bring their academic abilities into a new research environment, and expand their peer relationships and cooperation opportunities. NTU has been ranked as one of the world's top universities by the QS World University Rankings, and has been ranked first in the list of young universities in the world for many years. NTU's main campus is also often ranked as one of the most beautiful in the world. A total of 57 buildings on campus have been awarded the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark certification (equivalent to LEED-certified). Of these, 95% of the buildings received the Green Label Platinum Award. In addition to the main campus, NTU also has a campus in Novena, Singapore's healthcare hub.
