  The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that the cold wave weather from 17 to 22 February will affect the mainland, and the temperature in the central and eastern regions will fluctuate drastically, with the temperature dropping by 10~18 °C in most areas, and the local temperature will drop by more than 20 °C; there will be obvious rain and snow in most parts of the country, including heavy snowfall in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Shandong, and other places, and local heavy snowfall; freezing rain will occur in Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Guizhou; there will be heavy rain in the central and northern parts of Jianghuai and Jiangnan, and there will be large-scale thunder and lightning and local strong convective weather in the southern region.

  From the 16th to the 18th, before the main impact of the cold wave, the temperature in most parts of the central and eastern regions rose significantly. Around the 19th, the daily maximum temperature in most parts of Jiangnan, South China, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places was 25~28 °C, and some areas in Jiangxi, Fujian and other places could reach about 30 °C, close to or break through the historical extreme.

  From the 17th to the 22nd, affected by the cold wave weather, the temperature in most parts of the mainland will drop by 6~12 °C from north to south, and the temperature in some areas will drop by 12~18 °C, and the local temperature in Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, and Central China will reach more than 20 °C. Around the 23rd, the minimum temperature 0 °C line will be pressed south to the southern part of Jiangsu and Anhui to the southern part of Hunan and southern Guizhou. From the 24th, the temperature in the central and eastern regions will rise from north to south.

  Affected by the cold wave, most areas of the mainland have 4~6 winds and 7~9 gusts, and the wind strength in the Xinjiang Shankou area can reach about 12; from the 19th to the 24th, there are 6~8 strong winds and 9~10 gusts in the eastern and southern sea areas.
