Taishan Scenic Area is temporarily closed due to heavy snowfall
On February 15, the Management Committee of Taishan Scenic Area issued a notice that due to the sudden snowfall in Taishan Scenic Area from the night of February 14th to the early morning of 15th, Taishan Scenic Area immediately issued an emergency notice to suspend ticket inspection, and organized the evacuation and resettlement of tourists who have entered the mountain overnight to ensure the safety of tourists.
After inspection, at present, there is a large area of snow and ice accumulation on Taishan Pan Road, tourist highway, and mountaintop viewing platform, and the potential safety hazards are greater. In order to effectively protect the safety and health of tourists, it has been decided that from February 15, Taishan Scenic Area will be temporarily closed until further notice.
On the evening of the 14th, the road was opened by snowplows, and 17 vehicles were formed to escort more than 400 tourists down the mountain, and this morning, more than 500 tourists were transported down the mountain for free by cableway. At present, the staff of Taishan Scenic Area is clearing the snow and ice, and coordinating the passenger transport company to set up a temporary transfer station to pick up tourists walking down the mountain from the Tianwai Village Tourist Highway for free.
