01 Stronger cold air continues to affect the southern part of the continent
On February 15, under the influence of strong cold air, there were northerly winds of level 4 to 5 with gusts of about 7 in most areas south of Huanghuai and its south, and the temperature in the eastern part of Northeast China, most of Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, most of Jiangnan and the eastern part of southwest China dropped by 4 to 8 °C, and the temperature dropped by 10 to 12 °C locally. There was light to moderate rain in Jianghuai, eastern Jianghan, most of Jiangnan, western South China, and eastern Southwest China.
The Central Meteorological Observatory continues to issue a blue warning for high winds. It is expected that from 08:00 on February 15 to 08:00 on the 16th, there will be strong winds of 5 to 6 with gusts of 7 in the northern and southern Xinjiang basins of northern Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, western Qinghai, western Gansu, eastern Jiangsu, and most of Shanghai, and strong winds of 7 to 8 with gusts of 9 in most of the Yellow Sea, most of the East China Sea, and the Taiwan Strait.
02 There is heavy snowfall in Xinjiang
From February 15th to 17th, there will be a heavy snowfall process in Xinjiang, with heavy to heavy snowfall in Altay, Tacheng, Ili River Valley, and the western mountainous areas of the Southern Xinjiang Basin, with localized heavy snowfall or extremely heavy snowfall, and the main heavy snowfall period is from the 15th to the 16th.
The intensity of this snowfall is high, accompanied by strong winds and cooling weather, and it is recommended that the public should be alert to the adverse effects of snow, ice and strong winds on the roads, and take protective and warm measures.
03 The cold wave affected most of the mainland
From February 17th to 22nd, there will be a cold wave from west to east and from north to south to affect most parts of the mainland, the temperature has dropped by 6 to 12 °C, northern Xinjiang, most of Inner Mongolia, Northeast China and some areas of Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan and other places 12 to 18 °C, local more than 20 °C, the minimum temperature 0 °C line will be pressed south to the south of Jiangsu and Anhui to the south of Hunan, southern Guizhou.
Rain will turn to sleet or snow in Northeast China, the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern and western parts of Jiangnan, and some areas will have heavy to heavy snowfall;
The wind force is 4 to 6 with gusts of 7 to 9 on land, about 10 in the Shankou area of Xinjiang, 6 to 8 with gusts of 9 to 10 in the eastern sea area, and there is floating dust or blowing sand in western Inner Mongolia and western Gansu.
