The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from the 13th to the 15th, under the influence of strong cold air, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and its northern areas will have northerly winds of 4 to 6 degrees from north to south, with gusts of 7 to 9 degrees, and the temperature will generally drop by 4 to 8 °C, with a temperature drop of 10 to 12 °C in some areas, and a local temperature of about 14 °C in Northeast China.
According to the medium-term forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, from the 17th to the 21st, there will be a cold wave from west to east and from north to south to affect most parts of the mainland, and the temperature will drop by 6 to 10 °C, 12 to 16 °C in some areas, and above 18 °C locally. China Weather Network said that this will be the first cold wave of the Year of the Dragon.
The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for high winds at 6 o'clock on the 13th. From 8 o'clock on the 13th to 8 o'clock on the 14th, there were windy weather in parts of central and western Inner Mongolia, southern Heilongjiang, central and western Jilin, central and northern Liaoning, eastern Xinjiang, central and western Tibet, and western Qinghai.
From 8 o'clock on the 14th to 8 o'clock on the 15th, there were 5 to 6 winds in parts of central and western Inner Mongolia, central and southern Liaoning, eastern Huanghuai, eastern Jianghuai, central and southern Jianghan, northern Hunan, central Tibet, and southwestern Qinghai, with gusts of 7 to 8.
After the cold air, temperatures will rebound quickly

Due to the obvious warming in the early stage, this round of cold air is mainly to "correct" the obviously high temperature in the previous period. Temperatures in the north and south will briefly drop back to around normal for the same time of year.
After the cold air, the temperature will rebound rapidly, and the temperature in the eastern part of the northwest region, Huanghuai and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River will rise to a new level, continuing to hit a new high this year. On the 18th, the maximum temperature in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River will reach about 25 °C, and Jiangsu and Anhui may be warmer than usual in the same period.
On the 13th, there was light to moderate snow in parts of central and northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwest Heilongjiang, Ili River Valley in Xinjiang, and northern and eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
On the 14th, there was light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of southeastern Heilongjiang, central and eastern Jilin, northwestern Xinjiang, eastern and southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and eastern Huanghuai, with localized heavy snow. There was light to moderate rain in parts of the southeastern part of Northwest China, eastern and southern Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern and western Jiangnan, eastern Southwest China, and northern Guangxi.
Since the temperature has not been low enough for snowfall after the cooling in the south, this time it is mainly rainfall, so you don't have to worry about the snow and ice affecting your travel. The precipitation brought by the stronger cold air will continue until the 15th, and the precipitation in most parts of the central and eastern regions will subside during the peak of the return journey on the 16th and 17th, which will be conducive to the return journey.
From the 19th to the 20th, there will be rain turning to sleet or snow in Huanghuai, Jianghuai, and Jianghan, and light to moderate rain in the south of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with locally heavy rain, and freezing rain in Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Hunan, and Guizhou. You should pay attention to nowcasting to prevent the adverse effects of rain and snow on transportation.
