Secondly, the alligator also has the ability to "call for wind and rain", and the alligator can make five types of calls, among which the sound of "coaxing - coaxing - " is a symbol of the coming mountain rain. The Chinese alligator is a small crocodile endemic to China and is listed as a national first-class protected animal. Its appearance is similar to that of the Mihe crocodile, but it is much smaller. Adult Chinese alligators are generally 1.5-2.1 meters long and weigh 30-45 kilograms. The alligator can make five types of calls, among which the sound of "coaxing - coaxing" is a symbol of the coming mountain rain. This monotonous roar often sounded when the weather was sweltering, the air pressure dropped, and wind, rain, thunder and lightning were approaching. Therefore, in ancient China, the roar of the Chinese alligator was used as a weather forecast for thunderstorms.
