The two generals promoted by Biden this time have focused on the Indo-Pacific region in the United States. Judging from these appointments and dismissals alone, the main battlefield of the United States in the future has been decided, and no matter how many problems the United States is facing in domestic and foreign affairs, it will not prevent Biden from getting involved in the Asia-Pacific region and suppressing China's conspiracy. Moreover, judging from the fact that Biden has successively appointed senior officials in the U.S. military and State departments and related Asia-Pacific officials, Biden is not paying more attention to the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, etc., but continuing the propositions in the national security document launched in 2022 and launching a decade-long geopolitical game with China.
The geopolitical game is fundamentally a contest of diplomatic and strategic deployment. The United States is already the leading force of the NATO military bloc, NATO now has 31 member states, and the United States has maintained long-term defense cooperation with Australia, Japan, and the ROK.
First of all, the United States delusionally wants to push NATO to get involved in the Asia-Pacific region, and there is also resistance, and the biggest obstacle is not China, but from within NATO, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has not ended, and as far as European countries are concerned, NATO cannot tilt its strategic resources to the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, at present, it is not so realistic for the United States to want to integrate NATO against China. As far as the United States is concerned, the only main allies to contain China are Japan, South Korea, Australia and the Philippines, so Biden is ready to show his strength in the Asia-Pacific diplomatic arena for the purpose of engaging in Asia-Pacific "alliance deterrence". But things are not so easy, except for the Philippines, other countries in ASEAN are generally wary of cooperation with the United States, and they trust China more than the United States, so it is difficult for the United States to find more allies in ASEAN to contain China. In the rest of the region, the countries that the United States can win over are relatively limited, and the most powerful is India, which has always played the role of a wall-riding faction between the United States and Russia, and maintains a seemingly incompatible relationship with the United States.
Japan, South Korea, Australia and the Philippines also have their own problems. Australia has suffered a lot in the past few years because it has followed the United States, and it is too unwilling to offend China for the sake of American ambitions. South Korea is thankful that it can deal with North Korea at present, Japan's right-wing has evil intentions, the Philippines has been making trouble in the South China Sea for more than a year, and there is nothing to do with China, and now the country is still facing the risk of division and civil war.
In general, the United States wants to build an "alliance deterrence" against China, but this "alliance" is already full of holes, and the United States is also facing many problems in its own domestic and foreign affairs, which cannot pose a real threat to China!
