At 8:30 p.m. yesterday in Croydon, London, a man with acidic chemicals took the bus driver and passengers hostage.
The man, who is in his 30s, boarded a number 109 bus in Brixton and got into an argument with a passenger over smoking, before he took out a bottle that claimed to contain corrosive chemicals and hijacked the driver and passengers.
Subsequently, the London Police Department sent biohazard personnel wearing blue hazmat suits to the scene to deal with it. After about three hours of confrontation, police rushed into the car and grabbed the man in an orange jumpsuit and stripped him naked on the street for examination before taking him to the hospital for medical evaluation.
Specialists in white protective suits immediately tested the material left behind at the site.
Thankfully, the bottle was not thrown at anyone, and the passenger and driver were able to leave safely without injury, and the man's motive is currently unknown.
She was found missing
Last week, we reported on the disappearance of a 22-year-old Chinese female student climbing a mountain, and while everyone prayed for her safe return, unfortunately today the police confirmed that her body has been found.
The 22-year-old woman, Lifei Huang, has been missing since February 4 on her solo hike to Mt Baldy, during which the storm struck, causing many people to fear for her safety, as snowfall and temperatures dropped in the mountains.
Since her disappearance, search and rescue teams and popular organizations have launched a search, but due to the adverse weather conditions, no trace of her has been found.
It is reported that her family contacted her communication operator and found that the last time she used communication was February 6, which also raised hope for many people.
On Saturday, there were reports that drones had spotted her location, but the search and rescue was unsuccessful due to adverse weather conditions. Unfortunately, according to San Bernardino County police, her body was found on Sunday morning.
During the Spring Festival reunion, it is very regrettable to hear such news, may she rest in peace, and once again remind everyone to pay attention to their own safety when going out.
