Back in November last year, Polestar unveiled its first smartphone, which is expected to work in tandem with Geely's hybrid vehicles. However, we've had very little news about the Polestar Phone over the past few months. Now, the phone is finally on Google Play's list of supported devices. The list seems to suggest that we're getting closer to the official launch, although Polestar still hasn't given any official confirmation.
The Polestar Phone is finally on the list of devices supported by Google PlayAt the Polestar Day event, they showcased the phone, which is inspired by the Meizu 20 series. The Polestar Phone has a metal frame with three camera modules mounted on separate camera rings – a 23mm-equivalent main camera with an aperture of f/1.9, a 70mm telephoto lens (f/2.0) and a 15mm ultra-wide lens with an aperture of f/2.4. Sounds cool, doesn't it sound like the phone is expected to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm 8th generation chipset and run the Polestar Polestar OS operating system, developed by Polestar in collaboration with Meizu.
Have you noticed that automakers are getting more and more involved in the smartphone market, and car brands are looking to explore new areas with smartphone manufacturers. In the future, our cars will be able to interact with our mobile phones and "talk" to each other, wouldn't it be interesting? Maybe we can use our mobile phones to send commands to the car, such as "Dear car, can you help me find a parking space?" or the car can send a message to our mobile phone saying "Dear owner, you forgot to lock the car door!" This interaction will make our lives more convenient and interesting. Who knows, maybe in the near future, our phones will become our cars' best friends, and we can expect the Polestar Phone to bring a revolution in car brands and smartphones in the near future.
