The new Lexus UX 300h is on sale, with sales starting at 268,800 yuan
IT Home reported on February 8 that Lexus' new UX 300h compact SUV was launched, with a total of four models, namely the Discovery Edition, the Exploration Version, the Exploration Edition and the F SPORT Edition, with a price range of 268,800-339,800 yuan. The exterior and interior of the new car continue to be designed from the previous model, but the powertrain and safety features have been upgraded to improve performance and intelligence.
IT Home noted that the biggest highlight of the new UX 300h is that it is equipped with Lexus' fifth-generation THS hybrid system, which consists of a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine and a high-power electric motor, matched with a planetary gear continuously variable transmission system, and replaces the previous nickel-metal hydride battery with a compact and lightweight lithium-ion battery to achieve higher efficiency. Thanks to the newly developed electronic continuously variable transmission system (ECVT), the output of the electric motor has been increased to 83 kW. The engine, lithium-ion battery, and high-power motor work together to increase the combined output to 146kW (11kW more than the UX 260h).
The new UX 300h also features improved safety features, with both the Discovery and F SPORT versions equipped with LEXUS Intelligent Safety System LSS+ 3.0, which includes a range of advanced active safety technologies such as the Predictive Active Driver Assistance System (PDA).
The exterior and interior of the new UX 300h remain largely the same as the old model, but the F SPORT version adds sporty elements such as 18-inch F SPORT-specific wheels, exclusive mesh grille, two-tone bodywork, exterior badging, blacked-out exterior trim and luggage racks. Inside, the F SPORT version also comes with exclusive sports seats, steering wheel, manual paddle shifters, sports aluminum acceleration, brake pedal and footrest, and more. In addition, the instrument cluster of the new car has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, which can display different interfaces according to the driving mode and can be customized.
The new UX 300h F SPORT Edition also features an adaptive variable suspension system, AVS and F SPORT-exclusive sports dampers, to improve handling and stability for an enhanced ride. The new car also improves handling and comfort by increasing body rigidity and steering response, as well as adding sound insulation materials, and reducing driving noise.
