The Qinhuai Lantern Festival has a long history. As early as the Southern Dynasties, the traditional Lantern Festival was held in Nanjing, the capital city, and there was a spectacular scene of "lights full of markets", and its grand occasion was the crown of the country.
Since Zhu Yuanzhang, the Hongwu Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, advocated the Lantern Festival in Nanjing, Nanjing has gradually begun to enjoy the reputation of "Qinhuai Lantern (Color) A World".
