Granblue Fantasy Relink, a massive fantasy role-playing action game, was recently released on Steam, with over 100,000 players and topping the list of best-selling games worldwide.
Granblue Fantasy Relink peaked last night with 114054 concurrent players, making it the most popular ARPG game on the platform alongside Monster Hunter Rise.
Currently, it ranks second in global sales on Steam, behind the record-breaking Phantom Beast Palu.
Granblue Fantasy Relink is the latest game in the series from Cygames, following Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which was released last December. It's set in the same story as the original Granblue Fantasy, which was released in 2014 for mobile and browsers, and while some characters have returned, it's still beginner-friendly.
The game was first announced in 2016 in collaboration with Bayonetta developer Platinum Studios, but by 2019 Platinum Studios was no longer involved in the project.
The demo version of Granblue Fantasy Relink is still supported on PS5, so if you want to try the game, you can try it on PS5. Media reviews of the game praised the combat section, calling it "pure unfiltered fun", but players were frustrated by the quality of the side quests and forced farming missions.
