In the scorching summer, at the foot of the flaming mountain at 43 degrees Celsius, the crew members avoided the high temperature period and carried out continuous operations at the wrong time to promote the construction of the project; in the cold winter season, in Nehe City, Heilongjiang Province, where the temperature was approaching minus 30 degrees Celsius, the construction staff held a "baking handle" to heat the nozzle to ensure that each weld reached the construction conditions.
In the united city, the Beiran Tianjin Nangang LNG Export Pipeline, Mengxi Coal-to-Natural Gas Export Pipeline, Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Submarine Pipeline and other projects have been completed and put into operation, and the construction of the southern section of the China-Russia East Line, the Nenjiang Branch Line, and the Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Line (Weiyuan/Luxian-Tongliang) has been accelerated.

In 2023, the Pipeline Bureau will take the improvement of management capabilities as the starting point and the improvement of project efficiency and benefits as the goal to ensure that the project quality, safety and environmental protection are fully controlled, continue to improve the dual prevention mechanism of risks and hidden dangers, and release the 2023 quality, safety and environmental protection contracting point plan to achieve full coverage of key engineering projects. The Pipeline Bureau has set up 14 audit teams, led by the leadership team of the Pipeline Bureau, to carry out audits and inspections on 26 secondary units, 61 grassroots projects, and 52 operation sites, and a total of 905 problems have been found and rectified. Supervision agencies at all levels play the role of the "four-level" supervision network, always maintain a high-pressure situation of on-site supervision, and carry out supervision and inspection of 607 projects and 1,288 operation sites in total, so as to ensure the quality and safety of the projects.
In the past year, the Pipeline Bureau has undertaken a total of 1,596 engineering construction projects, including 140 key projects, 43 key projects have been completed and put into operation, 1 project has won the National Quality Engineering Award, 3 projects have won the 2023 Excellent Welding Engineering Award, and 9 projects have won the Petroleum Quality Engineering Award.

Over the past year, the Pipeline Bureau has focused on the construction of reserves, hydrogen energy utilization, sea and ship related business fields in combination with the development trend of energy storage and transportation and its own industrial reality, and firmly seized the opportunity of domestic oil and gas fields to ensure national energy security and increase exploration and development.
In this year, the 3rd International Symposium on Oil and Gas Underground Storage Theory and Technology was held in Langfang, where the Pipeline Bureau joined hands with more than 150 Chinese and foreign academicians, experts, scholars and leading figures from 60 units at home and abroad to discuss the cutting-edge theory of oil and gas underground storage.
The pipeline bureau established an oil reserve company, built a management structure of the leading group of the national reserve project, the reserve oil company + the national reserve base company, straightened out the system and mechanism, improved the system process, and built a development layout with the construction of underground caverns as the main business, and the integrated construction of above-ground storage tanks, small and medium-caliber pipelines EPC and stations as auxiliary businesses, and a series of top-level designs to escort the large-scale development of the storage business.
The Pipeline Bureau gives full play to its professional, resource and performance advantages, and continuously consolidates and expands the business scale of oil and gas field production capacity construction, maintenance and transformation of old oil and gas fields, and emergency rescue service guarantee. Actively docking with the surface engineering market of Changqing Oilfield, Dagang Oilfield and Tarim Oilfield, it undertook the EPC project of the land terminal of CNOOC Wu Oilfield and the survey and design part of the production capacity construction project in the northern part of Yan'an Gas Field, and the business tentacles extended to inside and outside the system.
In the fierce market competition, the pipeline bureau relies on scientific and technological innovation and pilot projects to open up new fields and new tracks for development, and shape new momentum and new advantages for development. At present, the Pipeline Bureau is building the world's largest crude oil submarine pipeline and the CALM single-point mooring system with the largest unloading capacity in Indonesia. The Pipeline Bureau deepens the integration of industry and finance, actively promotes the development of the "three new" business, promotes the implementation of the Wuhai hydrogen energy production, storage, transportation and marketing integration demonstration project, provides a model for the development of the hydrogen energy market, and takes the Tangshan hydrogen energy heavy truck project as the entry point to create a new hydrogen energy sales model.
