4. Battle of Laiwu,
The national army had 240,000 heavy troops and attacked from the north and south. Our army created a false impression and pinned down the enemy in the south with a small number of troops, and the main force went north in concealment, suddenly encircling the enemy's two armies on the northern route.
The East China Field Army adopted the tactics of "encircling three sides and opening one side of the net," setting up bag-shaped ambush positions, waiting for the enemy to leave Laiwu City, and launching an attack when the whole line fled north.
The enemy's 2 armies and 7 divisions, with a total of 56,000 men, were annihilated in three days, setting a record for the number of enemies destroyed and the speed of enemy destruction in the War of Liberation.
5. In the Battle of Menglianggu, the 74th Division, the first main force of the Annihilation Nationalist Army, took the initiative to annihilate the enemy under the situation of dense and dense enemy troops.
6. In the Battle of Eastern Henan, Kaifeng, the capital of Henan Province, was captured and one and a half corps was annihilated, setting a new record for destroying one corps of the enemy. It is known as the turning point of the Liberation War.
7. The Battle of Jinan, which liberated the strong fortress Jinan in 8 days, annihilated more than 104,000 defenders. The Central Plains and East China Military Regions are one company.
