In terms of the trend of rolled copper foil production capacity in the mainland, driven by the main downstream demand, the overall rolled copper foil production capacity has grown steadily, from 7,070 tons in 2016 to 11,800 tons in 2021.

With the growth of the overall rolled copper foil production demand, the output of rolled copper foil in mainland China continues to grow. The data shows that from 2016 to 2020, the output of rolled copper foil in the mainland increased from 3,579 tons to 8,383 tons, and the overall operating rate increased significantly, and in 2021-2022, with the growth of major demand for domestic consumer electronics and automotive electronics, the output of rolled electronics in the mainland increased significantly, and the data of the Nonferrous Metals Processing Association showed that the output of rolled copper foil in the mainland in 2021-2022 was 11,000 tons and 15,000 tons respectively.

The data shows that in recent years, the proportion of rolled copper foil in mainland China has increased slightly in the total copper foil (including rolled copper foil and electrolytic copper foil), reaching 1.9% as of 2022, an increase of about 0.1% over 2021.
