In 2012, Liao Shuangbing established Chengdu Cantonese vegetable planting professional cooperative in Penny Town, Jintang, became the person in charge, developed 309 cooperative members, and from 2012 to 2014, the cumulative development of broccoli planting and marketing model of more than 6,000 acres in three years, creating hundreds of millions of yuan in social value.
In 2013, with the support of the Jintang County Government, Liao Shuangbing cooperated with the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Jintang County Agricultural Development Bureau to demonstrate new varieties and new technologies, and jointly created a vegetable planting demonstration park with modern science and technology in Zhaojia Town. In October 2014, Liao Shuangbing was awarded the title of Top Ten Science and Technology Leaders by the Jintang County Party Committee and the County Government.
In 2015, the National Cucumber Exhibition hosted by the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and undertaken by Chengdu Cantonese Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative was successfully held in Zhaojia Town, and was praised and appreciated by leaders at all levels of the Ministry of Agriculture, provinces, cities and counties.
In 2016, Chengdu Cantonese Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative organized agricultural professional cooperatives and a number of family farms and agricultural companies to jointly establish a cooperative association, and 15 units have participated so far. In 2017, we implemented circular agriculture for planting and breeding, reduced the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and increased the use of organic fertilizers, which improved land vitality and sustainable development and reduced the occurrence of pests and diseases. For the members of the cooperative, he has embarked on a replicable development path that can increase the benefits of producers and operators and increase the income of local farmers.
Wan'an Village is located in the east of Chengdu City, the southeast of Jintang County, more than 60 kilometers away from the county seat, the whole village is a deep hill landform, the village of 4,322 people, more than half of the labor force went out to work, the village collective economy once developed slowly. In 2022, after participating in the "Going Out to Learn Experience" activity organized by Youxin Town, Chen Hongqiu made up his mind to break out of a "Wan'an model". To engage in a collective economy, it is necessary to raise funds, set up cooperatives, and recruit members. After repeated meetings and discussions with the members of the two committees and unified their thinking, it was decided to raise 100,000 yuan out of their own pockets as start-up funds, and officially established Jintang County Wanheyuan Agricultural Professional Cooperative.
After the establishment of the cooperative, Wan'an Village took "cracking the fragmentation of farmland" as a breakthrough to comprehensively promote the large-scale operation of "small fields and large fields". The cooperatives first took over 169.8 mu of restored cultivated land and 180 mu of mass land in the whole village to carry out collective self-management and carry out grain and oil crop planting; then, 108 peasant households were recruited to voluntarily join the cooperative, and 450 mu of "substitution farming" was implemented free of charge. After the unified management of the village collective, the field barrier was broken, 38.5 mu of cultivated land was added, and the mechanization rate of cultivated land increased to 63.7%. Through the unified use of water canals, agricultural machinery and other facilities and equipment, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other materials, the average income per mu of land increased by 230 yuan, realizing "small fields into large fields", "poor fields into good fields", and "idle fields into busy fields".
The cooperative has also set up an agricultural service team with village cadres and young and middle-aged labor force as the core, and has implemented trusteeship of 4,100 acres in the links of "farming, planting, prevention and harvesting". In 2022, the 10,000 mu Grain Economic Industrial Park with Wan'an Village as the core was successfully established as a three-star modern agricultural industrial park in Chengdu. The collective economy of Wan'an Village successfully broke through the million yuan mark. In September 2023, with the consent of the members of the cooperative, 108 households will receive a dividend of 150,000 yuan.
