On 13 April 2015, a person fell into the water in a river of ice near Genghis Khan Square, just 200 metres from the site of the torch relay.
"The temperature was around -20°C that day. Yang Hongfeng quickly led the police to the scene, and he, a "landlubber", jumped into the glacier, slammed his fist into the ice, and approached the person who fell into the water while breaking the ice, and opened up a precious "life channel" with his flesh and blood.
The person who fell into the water was finally saved, and Yang Hongfeng was also dragged ashore by his comrades, only to find out that Yang Hongfeng's police uniform had been frozen with his skin, and his hands and body were full of wounds cut by ice ballast.
