Judging from the specific events of this World Championships, the Chinese diving team gave up the mixed team competition that defended the title in Fukuoka last year, and the two non-Olympic events of the women's 1-meter board and mixed doubles 3-meter board were also not registered. But in order to give the young players more experience in the competition, Zheng Jiuyuan and Zhang Jiaqi/Huang Jianjie signed up for two other non-Olympic events, namely the men's 1m springboard and the just-concluded mixed doubles 10m platform.
