Not long ago, Foreign Minister Wang Yi of the mainland and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan held a two-day meeting in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

After the meeting, Sullivan directly explained the current situation of China-US relations in four words in front of the media camera, which also made the Biden administration realize the seriousness of the problem.

The U.S.-China relationship is in the spotlight

Sullivan on Sino-US relations

Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Sullivan that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, and this is an inherent fact that no one can change. At present, the biggest risk to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait is the "Taiwan independence" forces, and the biggest risk to Sino-US relations is also the "Taiwan independence" forces.
The Chinese Government hopes that in the future, the US side will earnestly implement the commitments it made to China in the three Sino-US joint communiques, truly implement its commitment not to support "Taiwan independence," and stop continuing to engage in the tactics of "doing one thing in front of you and one thing behind your back."
Previously, the United States has been full of the so-called "Chinese mainland will launch military reunification against the Taiwan region in 2027", such a statement is obviously malicious hype, and there is no factual basis.
The Chinese Government advises the US side to abandon the mentality of "using Taiwan to contain China" as a major power competitor and truly face all cooperation with China with mutual respect, fairness and reasonableness.
After the meeting, Sullivan also made an assessment of Sino-US relations. When talking about Sino-US relations, Sullivan directly said that Sino-US relations are "full of landmines."

The future of U.S.-China relations
