Recently, the Red Family Style Memory Museum (Dayang Folk Customs Exhibition Hall) located in Xiwan, Xingshan Village, Dayang Township has been renovated, with the principle of "repairing the old as the old and minimal intervention", protecting its appearance, structure, layout and interior decoration in a holistic way, and reproducing the former style of ancient houses in the Qing Dynasty.
In recent years, Dayang Township has implemented the protection of ancient residential buildings as a popular project, and actively promoted the activation and utilization of ancient residential buildings with the former site of the Central Fujian Headquarters and the Red Family Style Memory Museum as a starting point.
In December last year, Xingshan Village raised more than 200,000 yuan to participate in the protection and repair of the Red Family Style Memory Museum through spontaneous donations from villagers. During the renovation process, the craftsmen redid the lifting beams on the basis of following the design of their predecessors, and took measures to strengthen the main columns, which not only preserved the original appearance of the ancient residential buildings, but also made them safer.
The renovation of ancient residential buildings does not use steel bars, cement, etc., and is consistent with the appearance of the original building, the size of the building materials, and the original craftsmanship as much as possible, so as to retain the rich red historical and cultural information contained in the ancient residential buildings to the greatest extent.
The revitalization, development and repair of the ancient buildings in Xingshan Village is another powerful measure for Dayang Township to explore the cultural tourism value of historical buildings. As the old revolutionary base area of central Fujian, Dayang has a large number of ancient dwellings with historical, artistic and scientific value, which are important carriers of the red history and culture of Dayang Township, and are also valuable tourism resources.
In the process of protection and development in protection, the original residents of the ancient residential buildings in Dayang Township have also joined the team of repair and guidance one after another, so that the ancient residential buildings have been awakened in the silence for a long time, and the "nostalgia" of young people has also become clearly visible in this journey to find their roots.
The Red Family Style Memory Museum is now in Xiwan Natural Village, Xingshan Village, is one of the oldest existing dwellings in Dayang Township, and is also the first folk exhibition hall in Putian City, built in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, the appearance is simple and simple, formerly known as "Shi Sitang", more than 50 households and more than 200 people lived in the heyday. Now it is rebuilt and opened according to the old site, and only the Sanjin Hall and the wing room in the middle of the folk museum are set up as a folk museum, which exhibits the daily necessities of the people's life and production in the ocean area. The main hall also serves as the Taiping Society, enshrines Xiao Gong, Zhang Gong, and Zhu Gong.
The Red Family Style Memory Museum is an on-site teaching point for theme education characteristics in Hanjiang District, a demonstration base for open organizational life in the district, a cultural education base for clean government in the district, an education base for youth to inherit excellent traditional culture, and a practice base for ideological and political courses for students in the district. The entire exhibition hall covers an area of about 600 square meters, and is divided into four chapters: "Red Ocean, Sowing the Flame of Revolution", "Red Family Style, Integrating Blood Inheritance", "Inheriting the Red Family Motto, Cultivating the New Style of the Times", "Revisiting the Folk Memory, Promoting the Red Spirit", etc., which tell the unremitting pursuit of the ancestors' red beliefs and life ideals, and encourage party members to inherit the red beliefs, never forget the original intention, keep in mind the mission, and always be loyal, clean and responsible communists.
