In 1964, the book was old and not new
It is an important witness to the deterioration of the history of China and the Soviet Union, with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of history, which is now out of print and gradually recycled.
During the Sino-Soviet controversy in 1963 and 1964, the CPSU repeatedly published anti-China articles and set off great polemics, and at the same time proposed to the CCP through letters again and again to stop the open polemics and convene international conferences. In response to the Soviet Union's anti-China actions, the CCP fought back, and at the same time tried to find opportunities to seek unity. However, some of the practices of the CPSU further widened the differences between China and the Soviet Union.
On 30 August, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China replied to a letter from the Central Committee of the CPSU, reiterating once again that it would never participate in the international conference of the CPSU to split the international communist movement and its preparatory meeting, and pointed out that the day the CPSU convened the preparatory meeting will be recorded in history as the day of the great split of the international communist movement.
In March 1965, the CPSU gathered 19 communist and workers' parties to hold a meeting in Moscow, but the CCP refused to participate. This meeting was "an extremely serious step towards an open split in the international communist movement", after which Sino-Soviet relations deteriorated further to the point of severing all contact.
