- From January 31 to February 5, there will be a large-scale rain, snow and freezing weather process in the central and eastern regions.
- There is snowfall in the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Northeast China, northern Huanghuai and other places, and there is rain turning to sleet or snow in central and southern Huanghuai, Jianghan, western and northern Jianghuai, northwest Hunan, central and northern Guizhou, northern and eastern Chongqing, and most of the above areas have moderate to heavy snowfall, blizzard in some areas, local heavy snowfall or extremely heavy snowfall;
- There was moderate to heavy rain in most areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and south of the Yangtze River, and heavy rain in some areas.
- From February 1 to 4, there was freezing rain in parts of southern Henan, central and western Hubei, northern Anhui, northern Jiangsu, southern Shandong, northwest Hunan, eastern Guizhou, and eastern Chongqing.

This process has the characteristics of large amount of rain and snow, wide coverage, long duration, large range of freezing rain, complex precipitation phase, and extreme daily precipitation or cumulative precipitation in some areas, which is the rain and snow weather process with the longest duration and the most freezing rain in the provinces since this winter. At present, it has entered the peak period of returning home for the Spring Festival, and the rain, snow and freezing weather will have a great impact on roads, railways, aviation, etc., and the areas with serious impact of rain and snow are located in the central transportation hub provinces of the mainland. The meteorological department suggested that all localities should make various emergency preparations in advance and strengthen the management of traffic safety and urban operation. Members of the public are advised to pay close attention to the latest weather forecast and make reasonable travel plans.

Among them, most of the south is higher than 4~8 °C, some areas are about 10 °C, and the maximum temperature in many places can reach 15 °C or above. From January 31 to the beginning of February, affected by cold air and rain and snow, the temperature in most parts of the central and eastern regions will drop significantly, and the cumulative cooling range in the southern part of Northeast China and from Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Shandong to Jiangnan is generally above 10 °C, and many places in Henan, Hunan and Guizhou will exceed 15 °C and about 20 °C locally, with a large contrast between cold and warm.
