Since the first batch of tomatoes began to be picked in late December 2023, technical manager Shi Shilin has also started a busier life, coming to the park early every day, putting on a "white coat", putting on a disposable hair net and shoe covers, disinfecting his hands, and entering the greenhouse after the "baptism" of the 360-degree air shower room.
"Disinfection before entering the greenhouse is a daily procedure for the staff, mainly to prevent the invasion of foreign pests and diseases and ensure the quality of tomatoes. After graduating from university for three years, Shi Shilin, who has been engaged in modern planting, has also explored a "set of experience" for growing tomatoes.
Last year, Daxu Town leveraged Jiangsu Lugang Modern Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., a national high-tech enterprise and a national agricultural leading enterprise, to build a digital planting factory covering an area of 25,000 square meters and a modern intelligent glass greenhouse of 22,000 square meters.
Walking into the shed, a strong aroma of tomatoes came to my face. At the scene, you can see that the tomatoes are all grown in "coconut pegg" bags composed of crushed coconut shells. "Now the fruit is growing well, you should be careful when you pick it, you can cut off all the colored ones, and you can pick the next stubble with gradient color. Shi Shilin looked at the rows of tomatoes and told the workers in the shed.
"The temperature has come up in the past two days, pay attention to adjust the temperature. In the environmental control room on the other side, on the screen, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide concentration and other data are clearly displayed, just after the distribution of picking tasks, Shi Shilin is busy guiding technicians to operate the "smart agricultural park management cloud platform" to control and adjust the temperature, light, humidity, water, gas and fertilizer in the shed.
Shi Shilin told reporters that the modern planting model has subverted the traditional "relying on the sky to eat", environmental control system, water and fertilizer control system, green plant protection system, unmanned transportation system, can achieve real-time control of the crop growth environment, so that the output benefit of the traditional greenhouse more than 3 times, labor costs have also dropped significantly.
During the conversation, Shi Shilin pointed to the eight large jars outside the shed, "Well, it contains the water, nutrients and recycled liquid needed by tomatoes, which can be injected into the 'soil' by drip irrigation through the integrated water and fertilizer control system, which can not only be scientifically fed, but also have 'zero discharge' of sewage." ”
The project will start construction in April 2023, plant in October, hang fruit in November, and the first ear fruit will be ripe and harvested in December, with a yield of about 20 kg per square meter. At present, the first ear of fruit of the digital planting factory in Daxu Town has been sold out in the form of orders to supply the markets of Hefei and surrounding cities.
"At the beginning of the construction of the project, the town government set up a special work team, from site selection, land procedures, to the construction process of water, electricity, gas and recruitment of workers, all of which are tracked throughout the process. In less than half a year, we are very happy to go from zero to 'blossoming and fruiting'!" said Yan Jiajun, director of the Agricultural Tourism Office of Daxu Town, thanks to the construction of the digital planting factory, more than 30 villagers in the surrounding area have also become industrial workers here, fulfilling their "dream of going to work" at their doorstep.
"Working here, close to home, unlike the dirty in the past, the environment is good, the income is also good, there is more than 4,000 yuan a month. Zhou Yuemin, a villager from Yanhe Village, who has been working here for more than a month, is busy cutting ripe tomatoes.
From the "Hui" farming with the loess facing the sky in the past to the "Hui" farming with science and technology today, Daxu Town is guided by industrial development and strides forward on the road of rural revitalization.
Not far away, the second phase of the digital planting factory is being planned, and a high-tech modern agricultural digital industrial base integrating scientific research and training, digital agricultural industrial park, modern agricultural high-tech display, trade logistics and distribution, and headquarters economy will soon be displayed in front of us......
