Recently, the National Health Commission issued the "Notice on Naming the National Demonstration Counties (Cities, Districts) and Demonstration Institutions for the Integration of Medical Care and Elderly Care", and decided to name 100 counties (cities and districts) as the national demonstration counties (cities and districts) for the integration of medical and elderly care, and 99 institutions as the national demonstration institutions for the integration of medical and elderly care. Among them, the "Weifang Huadu Yinianyuan Elderly Service Center" in our district won the first batch of "National Demonstration Institutions for the Integration of Medical Care and Elderly Care", and it is the only demonstration institution selected in Weifang City.
Founded in 2007, Weifang Huadu Yinianyuan Elderly Service Center is a large-scale comprehensive medical and elderly care institution. In 2019, the center successfully passed the acceptance of the National Standardization Management Committee and became the first national health care standardization pilot unit in Shandong Province. The center adheres to standardized management, diversified development and professional services, and builds a medical and elderly care service system with the traditional Chinese medicine hospital as the core, the elderly care department as the support, and the affiliated hospital of Shandong Second Medical University as the support. After more than ten years of development, it has formed an industrialized development pattern integrating pension, nursing, medical treatment, rehabilitation, training, and sojourn.
The center actively provides the elderly with appropriate medical and elderly care services integrating preventive health care, treatment during illness, rehabilitation care, stable life care, and palliative care at the end of life. By adhering to the quality-first service strategy, continuously improving the integrated medical and elderly care service system, and innovating and highlighting the characteristic professional capacity building, we will create a "one-stop" integrated medical and elderly care service platform.
In the next step, Weicheng District will introduce more social forces to participate in the cause of medical care and health, continuously improve the ability and level of integrated medical and elderly care services, and better meet the needs of the elderly for health care services. Give full play to the leading role of demonstration institutions, gradually expand the radiation effect, and promote the high-quality development of the integration of medical care and elderly care in the region.
