Recently, at the Ordos Industrial Internet Developer Conference, the first AI large-scale model industrial Internet platform in Inner Mongolia jointly built by Ordos Innovation Investment Group and Huawei was officially released, and 18 AI partners, 16 mining partners, and 10 mining enterprises signed contracts with Ordos City and settled in the platform, adding a bit of warmth to this "warm city".

New achievements have been made in the intelligent construction of mines

At present, the mining industry is experiencing a technological revolution and industrial revolution driven by digitalization and intelligence. The introduction of the industrial Internet has provided new kinetic energy, new ideas and new solutions for the intelligent construction of mines in mainland China, and has also promoted the intelligent construction of mines in mainland China to achieve new results.

According to the data, as of the end of July 2023, there are 1,395 intelligent mining faces in the country, including 724 intelligent coal mining faces, 671 intelligent excavation faces, and 714 coal mines with intelligent working faces, accounting for 27.43% of the number of normal production and construction mines in the country, 2.179 billion tons of coal mining capacity, accounting for 59.49% of the country's approved production capacity, and 228 core production links in non-coal mines have been intelligently and robotized.

"By vigorously promoting the intelligent construction of coal mines, the number of underground workers in coal mines across the country has been greatly reduced, the intelligent mining face of the mine has been reduced, the fixed positions have been unattended, and the dangerous positions have been replaced by robots. At present, the intelligent mine has basically solved the problem of starting from scratch, and we must clearly realize that the intelligent construction of the mine is still in the initial stage, the overall level of intelligence is not high enough, and there are outstanding problems such as unbalanced and insufficient regional cohesion development. Key technologies and equipment such as unmanned driving still need to be improved, the normalized operation rate of intelligent mining faces is not high enough, the reliability of intelligent equipment needs to be strengthened, and the intelligent decision-making and linkage control of autonomous operation have not yet been achieved, and there is still a great distance from the needs of mines and the expectations of the majority of miners. We should further integrate information technologies such as industrial Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence, accelerate the R&D and application of technical equipment such as intelligent tunneling, cultivate and introduce professional talents, and promote the intelligent and high-quality development of mines. Chen Yuan, deputy director of the Comprehensive Department of the State Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, agreed.

Actively explore the "front store and back factory" model

Industrial artificial intelligence and Internet of Things operating systems are the most difficult bones of industrial intelligence.

According to the relevant plan, based on AI and the Minehong platform, it is expected to connect 68 intelligent mines this year and expand to 160 by 2025, becoming a smart bridge connecting mine production and ecological partner enterprises. The Ordos Industrial Internet Platform includes multiple modules such as basic computing power, AI computing power, AI platform, industrial model, application development platform, and application mall, which can provide enterprises and partners with one-stop services such as development, operation, sales, and consulting.

"The platform as a whole adopts the innovative model of 'front store and back factory' to realize the integration of development and operation, and help the transformation of R&D achievements and business closed-loop. A large number of small and medium-sized mines can continue to improve the accuracy and reliability of the model through central platform training and the mode of 'learning and using', which can reduce the burden of intelligent construction of mining enterprises, lower the threshold for application use, and greatly improve the accuracy and reliability of AI applications, so that AI can truly play its value and achieve the goal of fewer people, no people, high efficiency and safety in mines. Relying on the abundant natural resources such as coal, rare earth, natural gas, and iron ore, Ordos has achieved rapid economic development and has become the most economically powerful and dynamic region in Inner Mongolia. According to the data, the proven reserves of coal and natural gas in Ordos account for 1/6 and 1/3 of the country respectively, and the output accounts for about 20% and 15% of the country respectively, and it is one of the country's 14 large-scale coal bases, 9 coal power bases, 4 modern coal chemical industry demonstration zones and an important base for "west-to-east gas transmission".

"In September 2021, Huawei and China Energy Group released the Kuanghong operating system, which provides a unified language for the interconnection of different devices and enables all devices to 'speak Mandarin'. Minehong Operating System has deployed more than 3,300 sets of equipment in Shendong Coal, a national energy group. In addition, Huawei has brought 5G and other technologies from the surface to the underground, and through the continuous iterative optimization of remote control mining technology, miners have been able to move from underground to uphole, greatly improving the working environment and improving the safety of the entire mine. Based on the cloud and digital platforms, Huawei has launched the MetaGraph Workshop Digital Twin Enablement Platform to digitize underground equipment and production processes. To solve the problem of the difficulty of implementing AI in the mining field, Huawei and Shandong Energy Group jointly released the world's first large AI model for commercial use in the coal mining industry, leading the transformation of the AI development model from a "workshop" to a factory......
